Meet HAYLEY.

Hayley came from a local trailer park where she had been living under a trailer with about 20 other cats. The older woman who lived in the trailer had been feeding them, but Hayley and many of the other cats had never been touched. The lady was moving into assisted living and asked MEOW Refuge to take in as many of the cats as we could. We took around 9 cats, including a litter of kittens, and transferred them to Wild Blue Cats of Colorado Springs. Hayley stayed with us because we thought she was feral …

Well, in short order, Hayley has become the friendliest and most talkative cat at MEOW. These days, Hayley is a big talker. She talks more than most of the other gen pop cats combined.

She’ll talk to let you know when it’s time for breakfast. And then she’ll let you know when it’s time for a post-breakfast Churu. And then when it’s time for post-Churu Temptations dry treats. And then when it’s time for post-Temptations pats. And then she’ll tell you her life story. Twice.

Then she naps.

Then she will talk to let you know that she has arisen from her nap.

This is all done with the sweetest, friendliest meow, so somehow we never grow tired of hearing what she has to say.

We’re so happy that we can provide a home for cats that wouldn’t get a chance elsewhere ... and get to see what love and plenty of patience does for them! She’s unrecognizable from the cat that we first took in from the trailer park!
